About Us

We are a Not-for-Profit organisation whose aims and objectives are -

  • To create and co-ordinate performance art in the community.
  • To develop arts projects in schools, youth groups, community organisations and workplaces, which encourage participation, engagement and appreciation.
  • To explore new ways of bringing performance art to different social groups and encourage professionals to work together with volunteers in improving the value of community arts activities.
  • To devise, develop and deliver projects that are inclusive to all members of the community regardless of sex, race, age, religion and political opinion, by exploring local interest, heritage and relevant social issues through performance.
  • To produce rewarding and enriching theatre experiences for community audiences.
  • To nurture talent and showcase excellence and provide training where possible.
  • To promote the employment of artists, technicians and freelancers working within their local communities and offering theatre skills and production techniques to those who may not have otherwise been offered these opportunities.
  • To adhere to a Child Protection Policy and Health and Safety procedures at all times.

Bev Clark

Founder and Creative Co-ordinator of Hand in Hand Theatre Productions, Bev has worked in the South East, South West and is now based in North West on The Wirral. Previous companies include - Bristol Old Vic, The Palace Theatre (Westcliff) The Hippodrome (Colchester) and Theatre in Education: Action Transport. She has worked as a Youth Theatre director for three separate youth theatres and has written, directed and performed for many years. Bev runs workshops in schools and youth groups and writes plays, poetry and songs. Recent achievements include -

2007
  • 2nd place at Lymm Literary Festival for the poem Seven Steps: A journey of Discovery:
    This is the inspiration for All Along The River.
  • 2nd place in The Works National Bedtime Story Competition for The Tiger-Frog
    Highly Commended in The UK National Songwriter's Competition for The Sailor's Lament (From All Along The River)
  • Semi-Finalist in the UK National Songwriter's Competition for Candlelight

2008

Stealing Me...

Bev's first comedy was produced by Out-The-Bag Productions and was showcased at The Leverhulme Drama Festival at Port Sunlight April 08, where it received five nominations and was the winner of The Adjudicator's Award - The Roger Lancelyn - Green Trophy. This was for best Lighting, Sound and overall Staging.

Bev would like to thank Out-The-Bag Productions especially Andy Taylor for his sound contribution and Simon Cole from Backstage Theatre Productions for his lighting and an extended thanks to cast and crew. credit for photo : John Wellman WAPS - Darren Caine as Denny and Gareth Catouse as Mr Carlton both received nominations in Best Actor catagory and Best Supporting Role catagory.
