Our Visit To Action Transport Theatre

Remembrance Day was well received at the studio theatre at Whitby Hall, Ellesmere Port. Our hosts made us extremely welcome and it was a delight and pleasure performing there. We received overwhelming praise from our guests. Edward Brady from Shell (UK) sponsor. Jeff Harrison from British Legion and friends with cast and crew. Representatives from Families Need Fathers, Action Transport's Generations project, local writers and community actors gathered to see our final performance this summer before we head off to Woking Surrey for The NDFA All Winners Final. Thanks to all at ATT.

MARCH 2009

OUR NEW PLAY IS SET TO BE MEMORABLE

- A modern narrative of bullying and anti-social behaviour
- A ghostly tale of past generations
- A family story of a father and son's broken relationship
- A universal fable of war, death and hope.

Hand in Hand Theatre Production's new play -
REMEMBRANCE DAY by Bev Clark
is a poignant poetic drama of conflict, secrets, love and salvation.

With a strong cast and an original soundtrack, this one act play offers an atmospheric, moving and enigmatic piece of theatre, which explores many issues and themes.

"It is the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month
A time to remember...
Each generation inherits the mistakes of past generations.
Who is the figure in the half-light who inhabits the shadows and echoes?
A journey back in time to make a footprint in the future."

Continuing their work in joining communities in performance Hand in Hand Theatre Productions are delighted to be premiering this production at The Leverhulme Drama Festival on Friday 1st May at The Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight. 7pm - see our events page.

It will then embark on a short tour of Wirral schools and venues including Action Transport Theatre, Ellesmere Port as part of their "Generations" project on Wednesday 17th June.

We are also working with other charities and agencies to encourage engagement of young people -especially but not exclusively- teenage boys with their fathers.

If you would like further details on how to book this production for your school or venue or if you would like to be sent some promotion details or publicity please email us.
